Reuse those yogurt containers!

If big tubs of yogurt are a staple on your grocery list, consider reusing them before chucking them in the bin. Here are some practical uses for yogurt containers.
  • As storage: These tubs are just about the right size to hold store bought spices and grains or pasta and beans.
  • As a food container: Especially great for picnics and road trips. Use and toss. Functions just like Tupperware, only you don't have to clean it.
  • For disposing old fat and grease: Use it to contain oil that was used for frying. Dispose off once the container is full. A word of caution, only fill the container after the oil has cooled to prevent warping of the container.
  • For disposing glass: Accidents happen and these little tubs are a great way to throw away small pieces of broken glass like light bulbs or glassware. This way, it will not rip you trash bag and cause spills.

It is always a good idea to seal the tubs with tape for any use that involves movement.
